Social Studies Planner
During the 2018-2019 School Year, I spent some time doodling and drawing in my lesson planner. While that level of detailed practice was unsustainable for me due to time constraints, I often shared these illustrations with my students as a motivator to encourage them to spend time creating art in their own Social Studies journals. Years later, many of my students would come back to my classroom to say hello and tell me that they still had their Social Studies journals and used them to study for their high school history SOLs.
